What is Evenity (Romosozumab)?

Romosozumab blocks sclerostin, which increases bone formation and decreases bone breakdown.

The course is limited to 12 monthly doses, usually followed by another osteoporosis medicine.

It is not suitable for people with a recent heart attack or stroke; the doctor reviews heart risk first.

Class: Anti-sclerostin monoclonal antibody. Amgen / UCB (originator).
