Fludarither 50mg Injection is a chemotherapy medication containing the active ingredient fludarabine. It is used to treat B-cell chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL). Chronic lymphocytic leukemia is cancer of white blood cells (disease-fighting agents) in which the body produces many abnormal white blood cells, and lymph nodes start to grow in various parts of the body. This can lead to organ failure, decrease in red blood cells, severe bleeding and infections.

Treatment of B-Cell chronic lymphocytic leukemia (blood cancer)

Fludarither 50mg Injection works by decreasing or stopping the growth of cancer cells by inhibiting the DNA synthesis in cancer cells.

This injection should not be self administered and it should be taken only under the supervision of the doctors or nurse. Dosage of this injection will differ depending upon the patient’s age and severity of the condition.

Lung infection (cough, chest pain, difficulty breathing)

Unusual bleeding or bruising

Blood in urine, reduced amount of urine, or pain in your side

Skin reactions (redness, inflammation, or blistering)

Palpitations

Diarrhea

Fever

Weakness, tiredness

Nausea, vomiting

Low blood count

Infections

Inform your doctor about any prescribed medications, over-the-counter medicines, nutritional and vitamin supplements, and herbal products you take or have taken before the treatment. Certain medications may interact with Fludarither 50mg Injection and cause undesirable side effects.

Keep Fludarither 50mg Injection out of sight and reach of children.

Store in a refrigerator (2°C to 8°C).

Inform the doctor if the patient has any history of kidney, liver, allergic reactions before starting this medication. Avoid taking this medication while planning for pregnancy or during pregnancy as it causes harmful effects on developing babies. This injection is not recommended in children below 18 years of age. Avoid driving or handling heavy machinery while taking this injection as they cause disturbed vision. patient’s may lack concentration and alertness.
