Pomcad 4mg Capsule is a chemotherapy medicine containing the active constituent Pomalidomide. It belongs to the group of medications known as immunomodulatory agents. It is used to treat multiple myeloma in adults. Multiple myeloma is a type of cancer mainly affecting certain white blood cells called the plasma cell. These cells grow uncontrolled and accumulate in the bone marrow, damaging the bones and kidneys.  


The common side effects that are likely to be associated with Pomcad 4mg Capsule are shortness of breath, tiredness, weakness, nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, constipation, back and bone pain, dizziness, tremor, upper respiratory tract infection, sleeping trouble, loss of appetite, lack of energy, muscle spasms, muscle weakness, numbness, tingling or burning sensation, the low potassium level in the blood and anaemia. Pomcad 4mg Capsule works by stimulating the immune system to attack the cancer cells, stopping the formation of blood vessels supplying the cancer cells, and preventing the growth of cancer cells (myeloma cells).

How to consume Pomcad Pomalidomide 4mg Capsules 21's

Always take the Pomcad 4mg Capsule exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Take this medicine with or without food. Swallow the capsule as a whole with water. Do not crush or chew the capsule.

Side Effects of Pomcad Pomalidomide 4mg Capsules 21's

Serious:

  • Low white blood cells
  • Bleeding or bruising
  • Severe or bloody diarrhoea
  • Blood clots (chest or leg pain, swelling)
  • Severe liver problems (yellowing of skin or eyes, dark-brown colour urine, abdominal pain)
