Rolimus 10mg tablet is an antineoplastic drug belonging to the class of mTOR kinase inhibitors, containing the active ingredient everolimus. It is often combined with cyclophosphamide, an alkylating agent, to treat sub ependymal giant cell astrocytoma.
Before taking this medicine, it is necessary to know that your risk of getting bacterial or viral infection increases with this treatment. If you have been infected with Hepatitis B, Rolimus 10mg tablet increases the chances of reinfection. Tell your healthcare provider if you experience fever, chills, cough, yellowing of the skin, joint pain, or swelling during this treatment. You must limit your exposure to sunlight and UV light by wearing protective clothing and applying sunscreen frequently, as this medicine may increase the risk of developing cancers. Avoid taking grapefruit juice or grapefruit while taking this medicine.
This tablet is not recommended for adolescents and children under the age of 18. Contact your doctor immediately if you experience shortness of breath, chest pain, or worsening cough.
